Voices of Justice: Founder, developer, writer • California • Sept. 2010 - Present
Online multimedia blog project focused on humanizing the crisis in California's correctional system through the telling of honest life stories about correctional officers, inmates and parolees
- Designed and built the Voices of Justice website
- Published weekly on The Huffington Post and KALW News
- Raised money, support and publicity through social network campaigns
- Combined text, photos and video clips into popular new media narratives, building a high quality and high traffic blog
- Hitchhiked California in order to interview subjects and write all 25+ stories for the project
- Developed data visualizations on prison statistics for the project
- Built and distributed weekly VoJ newsletter
